lead me to the cross.

Savior i come
quiet my soul remember
redemption's hill
where Your blood was spilled
for my ransom
everything i once held dear
i count it all as lost

lead me to the cross
where Your love poured out
bring me to my knees
Lord i lay me down
rid me of myself

i belong to You
lead me, lead me to the cross

You were as i
tempted and tried
human
the word became flesh
bore my sin and death
now You're risen

to Your heart
to Your heart
lead me to Your heart
lead me to Your heart

"lead me to the cross"- hillsong united

the first time i heard this song i was brought to tears. every time i hear this song i think about how it all comes back to the cross and the work done on it. i don't think that there will ever be a day that we will fully be able to understand the love and compassion that was acted out on that day, and i know that i will never be thankful enough for the blood that was shed- but glory be to God for the cross, His grace, and unending love.

how deep the Father's love for us,
how vast beyond all measure
that He should give His only Son
to make a wretch His treasure

"how deep the Father's love for us"

may i never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and i to the world. - galatians 6:14

just a thought.

  2. AMEN! Without the finished work of the cross, we have nothing. Too many churches today do not preach sanctification through the cross. But it truly is all about what He did.
